Dale and Donna Griffin have been serving churches across the state of Oklahoma for the past
twenty-eight years. During that time, Dale also served for seventeen years at Oklahoma Baptist
University (OBU) as campus minister, assistant vice-president for spiritual life, dean of the chapel
and interim dean of students.
Bro. Dale was licensed to preach at First Baptist Church in Altus, Oklahoma in 1987. He was
ordained to the gospel ministry at Taylor Ranch Baptist Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico in
1993. He is a 1984 Bachelor of Music in theory and composition in music graduate from OBU and a
1989 Master of Divinity with languages graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
(SWBTS). Dale is also a 2020 graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Doctor
of Ministry degree, discipleship and spiritual formation emphasis.
Bro. Dale loves to serve churches and has completed thirteen interim ministry assignments in
Oklahoma and New Mexico. Before moving Back to Oklahoma in 1997, Dale was the Baptist
Collegiate Minister at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque for eight years. While in New
Mexico, he hosted a morning drive radio program on KLYT called “Think About It.” Dale has served
as a trustee for Gateway Seminary and as chair of the board of trustees academic committee. He
currently serves as an adjunct instructor for OBU’s Prison Divinity Program each fall term and is
completing a second term of service with Oklahoma Baptists Board of Directors.
Donna continues to serve as a speech language pathologist and as director of Christian Family
Academy in Shawnee. Dale and Donna have three grown children living and serving the Lord in
Oklahoma and Texas.
